Adeleke confirmed that he had actually joined the party over a month ago, on November 6, after extensive consultations with stakeholders and opinion leaders.

“I joined the Accord Party as a platform to seek re-election in 2026,” Adeleke said. “We intend to pursue a second term to continue delivering good governance and democratic dividends that have been recognized both locally and internationally. We chose Accord because its mission of welfarism aligns with our focus on citizens’ and workers’ welfare.”

The governor welcomed party leaders into the Government House, emphasizing unity and shared commitment to the people of Osun State and Nigeria. “Our task now is to sustain a united front as we prepare for the elections, ensuring an inclusive leadership that cares for all groups. Accord is here to take over governance and continue delivering good governance across the state,” he said.

Adeleke highlighted the Accord Party’s focus on people’s welfare, noting that the primary responsibility of government is the well-being of its citizens. He stressed that his administration has prioritized welfare programs and infrastructure development, saying, “Osun has never had it so good in governance and service delivery.”

He called on citizens across all regions of Osun State—from Igbomina to Ijeshaland, Ifeland, Osogbo, Iwoland, Modakeke, Gbongan, Igbajo, Ikire, Ikirun, and Ede—to support the Accord Party as the platform for continuity and progress.

“Osun voted for good governance in 2022, and they will support continuity in 2026. Accord is our party for victory next year,” Adeleke declared, formally announcing his re-election bid under the Accord Party banner.
