Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, reaching the pinnacle of his football career.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward earned the prestigious award following an outstanding 2024–25 season, in which he scored 35 goals and provided 16 assists across all competitions.
His performances were crucial in helping PSG secure their first-ever UEFA Champions League title, along with victories in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, Trophée des Champions, and the UEFA Super Cup.
Dembélé received the honor at the 69th Ballon d’Or ceremony held on September 22, 2025, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, finishing ahead of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, who was the runner-up.
At 28, Dembélé joins the elite list of French footballers to have won the Ballon d’Or, including legends such as Michel Platini, Zinedine Zidane, and Karim Benzema.
