Simon Ekpa, a self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, has been arrested in Finland
He was arrested along with four others on suspicion of involvement in terrorism-related offenses

Local reports indicate that Ekpa was detained and remanded in custody by the Päijät-Häme District Court on charges of public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent.
The Finnish Central Criminal Police confirmed the arrests in a statement on Thursday, November 21, revealing that the five individuals were being investigated for terrorist activities. Ekpa, identified as the primary suspect, faces accusations of inciting terrorism, while the others are accused of financing terrorist crimes.
The statement detailed that the investigation focuses on a Finnish citizen of Nigerian descent, born in the 1980s, who is suspected of promoting violent acts through his social media channels. Authorities believe these actions have led to violence against civilians and government officials in South-Eastern Nigeria.
Crime Commissioner Otto Hiltunen, leading the investigation, emphasized that the suspect’s activities have been carried out primarily through social media. The four other individuals are charged with financing these activities.
The Finnish police confirmed that all five suspects were arrested earlier this week and that international cooperation has played a crucial role in the investigation.
