British-Nigerian nursing student Tamilore Odunsi was tragically stabbed to d3ath in her Houston, Texas apartment, just days before she was set to graduate
The 23-year-old, originally from London, had moved to the U.S. in 2022 to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse and was just weeks away from earning her degree.
Her body was discovered during a welfare check after a family friend raised concerns. According to Houston police, she was found with multiple stab wounds, and blood was visible on the patio. A man—reportedly a new roommate whom she barely knew—was found inside the apartment with stab wounds and remains in critical condition. Authorities have not yet confirmed his identity or released further details, and the investigation is ongoing.
Known on TikTok as “Tami Dollars,” Tamilore had built a following of over 30,000, often sharing moments from her life and studies. Her final post, just three days before her death, showed her smiling and preparing for graduation, captioned: “I’m readdyyyyy.”
Her heartbroken family described her as a “beautiful soul,” a devoted Christian with a passion for helping children through healthcare. A GoFundMe campaign launched to help return her body to the UK and support funeral costs has raised more than £29,000.
In a moving tribute, her brother Manny wrote, “Tami, you were truly special. Our TikTok star. My creative genius. This pain is unbearable.”
The UK Foreign Office has confirmed it is in contact with local authorities as the case develops.
