Brymo has taken aim at fellow Nigerian artistes Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and Burna Boy in a cryptic post.
In the post, Brymo wrote:
“You may survive by so, but not build your own legacy on inheritance… And even innocent idibia will increasingly pay for his blatant disrespect of commitment and ward, and society.. burna boy will always remain a criminal..”
The statement touched on legacy, commitment and personal conduct, though Brymo did not explain what led to the statement or give any further context about his references to the two artistes.
Brymo’s dispute with Burna Boy became public in 2023 after Brymo alleged that Burna Boy had used material from his unreleased project, Macabre, in songs from Burna Boy’s I Told Them album. Burna Boy later referenced Brymo in a freestyle with the line, “No go fall off like Brymo.” The two have since exchanged further comments in public.
In April 2024, Brymo also mentioned 2Baba and Burna Boy alongside Davido in a series of deleted posts, accusing the three artistes of “coming after” him.
He did not provide details establishing what he meant by the claim, and the three artistes did not publicly respond to those particular allegations at the time.
