Buhari Appointed His ‘Daughter’ As INEC Chairman- PDP

The PDP’s National Publicity
Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, has said his party would reject any election conducted
by the Acting Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, Mrs. Amina
Zakari, because she is a ‘daughter’ to the president head of state and her
elections cannot be credible. Metuh said it is surprising to him and indeed the
world that the president can appoint someone who is his daughter to such a
position.

Metuh said these today when he
paid a courtesy visit to kari,the National Democratic Institute and International
Republican Institute in Abuja. Hear him;

“We have INEC and the idea is that
people heading it should be above board, but the present ruling party has
appointed the ‘daughter’ of the President to head the position.

“There is no where in the world
where such has happened, a person who has a relationship with the President.

“I am drawing the attention of the
IRI to this. Buhari has appointed his ‘daughter’ as INEC Chairman, we believe
there will not be fairness.

“It will be very difficult to
accept any result of the election conducted by Amina Zakari. It will be
difficult for PDP to accept result of election if we loose under Zakari.”
