Buhari has sacked the Director General of the State Security Service, Ita
Ekpenyong. In his place, he
has appointed Lawal Musa Daura as new head of the agency, which serves as
Nigeria’s secret police. The appointment was conveyed today in a letter
by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Barrister Danladi Kifasi. The appointment is
with immediate effect.
