Fifteen people were reportedly injured and rushed to the hospital after a bus collided with a bridge this afternoon – and its roof was ripped off in the incident
UK emergency services including ambulances and police officers rushed to Eccles, Greater Manchester, after the crash.

Greater Manchester Police have asked that people stay away from the area, which has been cordoned off.
Photos from the scene show the badly damaged bus. Shortly after 6.20pm, two recovery trucks arrived to remove the damaged bus from the area.
Salford Police said road closures are in place as emergency services deal with the incident.

The force shared this statement on X: “We are currently responding to a collision between a bus and a bridge at the junction of Barton Road and Trafford Road in Eccles.
“Emergency services are currently on scene as part of the ongoing work. Please avoid the area as road closures are currently in place.”
