The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced its nominees for the 2024 Men’s Player of the Year award
Ademola Lookman and William Troost-Ekong of Nigeria’s Super Eagles are among the top contenders.
Lookman impressed with his hat-trick in Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League final victory and scored three goals in seven appearances at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Troost-Ekong shone as the 2023 AFCON’s best player, scoring three goals and leading Nigeria to a second-place finish.
They face stiff competition from:

2. Achraf Hakimi (Morocco)
3. Amine Gouri (Algeria)
4. Edmond Tapsoba (Burkina Faso)
5. Chancel Mbemba (Congo)
6. Soufiane Rahimi (Morocco)
7. Ronwen Williams (South Africa)
8. Serhou Guirassy (Guinea)
The CAF Awards ceremony will take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16.
