Carlo Ancelotti has officially been named the new head coach of the Brazil national team, becoming the first foreign manager in the history of the Seleção
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed that Ancelotti will take charge on May 26, 2025, following the conclusion of the La Liga season with Real Madrid.
CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues described Ancelotti as “the best coach in history,” expressing confidence that his leadership will mark a new era of success for the five-time world champions.
Ancelotti is set to make his debut on June 6 in a World Cup qualifier against Ecuador, followed by a home match against Paraguay on June 10.
The Italian departs Real Madrid after a highly successful spell, during which he won three Champions League titles and two La Liga trophies. His exit paves the way for Xabi Alonso to take over as Real Madrid manager.
