Former Chelsea captain John Terry has made his return to the club, four years after hanging up his boots.
The ex-England defender will take up a coaching consultancy role with the Blues’ academy, working with young players and coaching staff at the club where he began his playing career.
Terry spent two decades with Chelsea as a player, and had been part of Aston Villa’s coaching staff until earlier this year.
The 41-year-old played more than 700 times for the Blues as a player, captaining the side to multiple trophies.
He was part of the team which won Premier League titles on five occasions – three under Jose Mourinho, one under Carlo Ancelotti and one under Antonio Conte.
He also helped the Blues to Champions League glory in 2012, though he was suspended for the final.
