Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has downplayed the team’s chances of competing with Manchester City and Arsenal for major trophies this season

Despite a promising start, with seven wins from 10 matches and a rise to fourth place in the Premier League, Maresca cited the stability and longevity of City and Arsenal’s managerial regimes as key factors.
“I really don’t think we can compete with City or Arsenal,” Maresca said. “They have worked with the same manager for nine and five years, respectively. We’ve had only three months.”
Maresca emphasized the need for time and patience, stating, “The target is to improve and slowly get closer to those clubs, but at the moment, we are not ready.”
Chelsea faces Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday, with only Carney Chukwuemeka and Reece James currently sidelined.
