Former Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, is clearly tired of people telling her where she should live.
As her residency case in South Africa continues, some fans have been urging her to leave the country and move to Nigeria. But Adetshina made it clear that the choice is hers.
When one fan told her to “go home” to Nigeria, she replied:
“I said I don’t want to… Ah ah, its it by force?”
She also appealed to people to stop making an already difficult situation even harder for her.
“Stop frustrating my life.”
The beauty queen is currently still dealing with the legal process surrounding her residency status, saying she would rather focus on resolving the matter than continue facing pressure over where she should live.
Chidimma’s residency status has been at the centre of controversy since last year after South African authorities questioned how she obtained her citizenship documents. The dispute eventually forced her to withdraw from the Miss South Africa pageant, after which she accepted an invitation to compete in Nigeria, where she went on to win the Miss Universe Nigeria crown.
Her residency matter, however, is still being resolved in South Africa.
