This prestigious recognition acknowledges her exceptional contributions and commitment to promoting diversity in the medical field.

Her brother, Chidi Achebe, shared the news, revealing that Maureen received the award notification from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a renowned teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School.

Chidi expressed immense pride and gratitude, praising Maureen’s achievements and dedicating the honor to God.

Maureen Okam-Achebe holds multiple distinguished roles, including President of AIDE Healthcare International, Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, and Director of various programs at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

She is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and is triple-board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Internal Medicine.

An alumnus of the University of Port Harcourt Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, Maureen’s accomplishments reflect her dedication to advancing medical education and healthcare.
