Chioma, the biological sister of late Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, has continued to mourn her brother, sharing another emotional message about the pain of losing him and how difficult life has been since his passing.
Alex d!ed on May 11, 2026, and his family announced his passing two days later, on May 13, 2026. He was laid to rest on June 18, 2026, surrounded by family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones who gathered to pay their final respects. Although the burial has taken place, the pain of his absence remains deeply felt by those closest to him.
In her latest tribute, Chioma reflected on the special bond they shared as siblings. She described Alex as someone whose warmth, laughter, guidance, and love made life brighter, admitting that adjusting to life without him has been one of the hardest experiences she has ever faced.
She also spoke about the future they had both imagined, saying she always believed they would grow old together, sharing more memories, conversations, and family moments.
Expressing her heartbreak, she wrote:
“My ANGELBEING, it’s been a cold world since you left, taking your warmth with you. How do I navigate life without you in it, my brother? This was not the plan, NNAM. I always looked forward to growing old with you your jokes, your advice, and your admonitions. You hurt me, brother, by leaving the way you did, without a proper goodbye. I’m shattered beyond words. Hardly a second goes by without thoughts of you. I hope you’re watching over us and not silent.”
Her words reflects the grief of a sister who is still learning to live with an irreplaceable loss. Even after saying her final goodbye at his burial, Chioma continues to hold on to the memories they created together, remembering her brother with love and longing for the moments they never got to share.
