The 36-year-old appeared in Southwark Crown Court on Thursday, where he denied attacking a man with a bottle during a 2023 incident at Tape nightclub in central London.

Brown is charged alongside Omololu Akinlolu, also known as Hoody Baby. Both men are accused of assaulting the victim with a bottle, resulting in serious injuries.

While Brown has entered a not guilty plea to the charge of grievous bodily harm with intent, he and Akinlolu are also facing additional charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. Pleas on those charges are expected at a later date.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for July 11, 2025, with a full trial set to begin on October 26, 2026. The trial is expected to last between five and seven days.

Brown was arrested in May upon arriving in Manchester for the UK leg of his “Breezy Bowl XX” tour. He was later released on bail reportedly set at £5 million.

Despite the charges, the singer has continued with his tour, performing in Cardiff and other cities, with additional shows planned across Ireland, Scotland, and mainland Europe. He is expected to resume the North American leg of his tour later this summer.

Brown has previously faced legal issues in other countries, but he maintains his innocence in the ongoing UK case.
