A climbing team faced a deadly ordeal leaving one de3d while climbing Mt. Johnson in Alaska’s Denali National Park. Scaling the challenging “Escalator” route, they plummeted 1,000 feet.
Rescuers rushed to the scene, finding one climber deceased and the other badly hurt. Through the night, they provided crucial aid, creating a snow shelter.
By morning, a high-altitude rescue team arrived. With precision, they airlifted the survivor to Talkeetna for urgent medical care.
Despite valiant efforts, adverse weather thwarted recovery of the deceased climber. Officials promise to resume the operation when conditions improve.
For now, the identity of the fallen climber remains withheld, pending family notification.
