UFC star Conor McGregor will not face criminal charges having been accused of s3xual assault during an NBA Finals game in June.

McGregor was at the Finals game between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets in Miami and was alleged to have assaulted a woman in an arena bathroom.

At the time of the accusation McGregor denied any wrongdoing has now been cleared four months on. A report from TMZ revealed prosecutors cited “insufficient evidence” whilst also having “contradicting and/or no corroborating witnesses.”

In a statement, McGregor’s lawyer said: “After a thorough investigation, including a review of videos and interviews with eyewitnesses, the authorities have concluded that there is no case to pursue against my client, Conor McGregor. As anticipated, this decision by the authorities confirms Mr. McGregor’s account of the evening. On behalf of my client, his family and his fans we are pleased this is now over.”

According to a closeout document from the case, McGregor was alleged to have entered the men’s bathroom with a woman at the Kaseya Center.

It was later revealed the pair were again spotted together at a club in the early hours the following morning.

The prosecutors confirmed a bathroom attendant who was in the same restroom at the same time as McGregor and the accuser was interviewed as part of the investigation.
