A Magistrate’s Court in Abeokuta has adjourned the assault case involving popular singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, to March 26, 2025

The decision was made to allow the prosecution to merge Portable’s charges with those of his workers, ensuring a more efficient trial.
Portable and nine of his workers were first arraigned on February 6, 2025, on a five-count charge, including conspiracy, assault, unlawful obstruction while armed with weapons, and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace. The charges stem from an alleged attack on three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
During the March 5 hearing, Senior State Counsel Timileyin Oredein requested that the charges be consolidated to streamline the case. The court granted the request and set the next hearing for March 26, 2025.
