Commissioner of Police Abayomi Shogunle has revealed that wearing his Nigeria Police Force uniform abroad often earns him compliments from foreigners
In a post on his official page, Shogunle shared that people frequently approach him overseas to express their gratitude for his service.
He wrote, “Whenever I walk the streets overseas/abroad in my 🇳🇬 Nigeria Police uniform, I’m often stopped by locals who say, ‘Thank you for your service.’”
The post included photos of Shogunle in full police uniform in Downtown Denver, Colorado, USA, where he was seen engaging with people.
While many Nigerians praised him for positively representing the force internationally, some questioned how foreigners could recognize or appreciate the Nigerian police uniform.
