Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed he will extend his stay at Al Nassr, ending speculation over his future at the Saudi Pro League club
Speaking after Portugal’s UEFA Nations League final win over Spain, the 40-year-old star said, “Nothing is gonna change,” indicating his commitment to remain with the club.
Football journalist Fabrizio Romano shared the update on Monday via X, stating: “Cristiano Ronaldo confirms plan to stay at Al Nassr by signing a new deal. My future? Basically, nothing is gonna change. Staying at Al Nassr? Yea.”
Ronaldo’s current contract was due to expire at the end of June, with no clear progress on a renewal until now. His decision to stay brings clarity after weeks of uncertainty.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner joined Al Nassr in December 2022 following his departure from Manchester United. His arrival significantly boosted the profile of Saudi Arabian football, attracting global attention and sparking a wave of marquee signings across the league.
