Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has officially entered the film industry with the launch of his new independent film studio, UR•MARV, in collaboration with acclaimed British director Matthew Vaughn, best known for Kingsman and Kick-Ass

The studio will focus on producing high-octane action films, with two projects already underway and a third in the pipeline. Ronaldo, who has steadily built a vast business empire outside of football, shared his excitement about the new venture.
“This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business,” he said.
Vaughn, known for his fast-paced, visually striking storytelling, also expressed his enthusiasm, calling Ronaldo “a real-life superhero.”
“Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him – he’s a real-life superhero,” Vaughn said.
While financial details of their 50-50 joint venture remain under wraps, the timing is strategic. With platforms like Netflix and Disney+ fueling demand for independent content, UR•MARV is positioned to meet the growing appetite for fresh, engaging films.
Ronaldo’s off-pitch portfolio continues to expand. He holds investments in a hotel chain, a porcelain company, a Portuguese media firm, and a tennis and padel club in Lisbon. At 40, the global sports legend shows no signs of slowing down.
