Canada’s Marc Kennedy, four-time Olympian, lost his cool at the Winter Olympics in Milan.
During a tense curling match Friday, Sweden’s Oskar Eriksson accused Kennedy of touching the stone after release a rules violation. Kennedy erupted: “I haven’t done it once. You can f** off.”
Eriksson shot back, joking he could show “the receipts” after the game. Kennedy responded with more profanity.
After Canada’s 8-6 win, Kennedy said to reporters, “I blew up because I didn’t like being accused of cheating after 25 years on tour and four Olympic Games. I told him where to stick it.”
Curling Canada released a statement: “Curling Canada fully supports fair play, respect and sportsmanship, values that are fundamental to our sport.”
Kennedy later apologized for his language.
