What started as a routine stop for fuel quickly turned into a moment of exposure at a filling station in Ikoyi, Lagos.
A customer who drove in to buy 20,000 naira petrol noticed something off the pump wasn’t starting from zero but rather it started from 5500. Instead of confronting the attendant immediately, he quietly began recording.
Moments later, the attendant seemed to realize she was being filmed and quickly tried to cover the pump, attempting to correct the mistake. But the initial act had already been captured.
The video has since made the rounds, sparking conversations among Lagos residents. Many say it reflects a common issue people experience but rarely prove.
It also raises a bigger question if small acts of dishonesty like this happen daily, should the blame always rest only on leaders?
For many, this incident is a reminder to stay alert. In a city like Lagos, even the simplest transactions sometimes require a second look.
