Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State, has been elected as the Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, with Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo serving as his deputy

This announcement was made by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State and Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum, after a meeting at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Governor Abiodun accepted the position, promising not to disappoint his colleagues’ trust.
He succeeds the late Rotimi Aketedolu, former Governor of Ondo State, and is expected to lead the region’s growth and development.
The meeting was attended by 13 governors and 3 deputies, with Rivers State Governor Similayi Fubara notably absent. A communiqué will be released soon.
