David Hundeyin alleges that the Nigerian Police have declared him wanted in connection with the prosecution of Isaac Bristol, accused of being the whistleblower PIDOM Nigeria
The Police listed Hundeyin and Michael Temidayo Alade as alleged accomplices of PIDOM.
Hundeyin, known for exposing corruption and human rights abuses, claims his only crime is “Journalism.”
He shared his statement on social media platforms X and Instagram, expressing surprise that the Police consider him a criminal suspect for his anti-corruption work.
The development follows the arrest and arraignment of Bristol, who faces charges including leaking classified documents, fraud, sedition, and tax evasion.
The Police claim Bristol resisted arrest and destroyed his phone.
David Hundeyin’s declaration as a suspect has sparked concern among journalists and advocates for press freedom.
