Singer Rema has said there is no problem between him and Davido, dismissing reports of a disagreement between the two singers.
He spoke about it during an interview with Ebro Darden and Laura Stylez , after he was asked about his relationship with other Afrobeats artistes and the comparisons often made between them.
Rema said the idea that he and Davido have a problem is simply a rumour. He also made it clear that he has respect for artistes who came before him.
He said:
“Davido and I have no issues; those are just rumours. I have so much respect for the OGs. Fans are always the ones starting things. I used to caution my fans, but sometimes the other artiste enjoys the comparisons and doesn’t do the same, so I stopped.”
Rema also spoke about how he previously tried to discourage his fans from turning comparisons between artistes into unnecessary rivalry.
According to him, he eventually stopped doing that after noticing that some other artistes did not take the same approach with their own fans.
