Fido had previously sparked controversy by referring to Davido’s fan base as “Osakpolo FC” during a live session, which was perceived as a mocking gesture.

Nevertheless, Fido later apologized to Davido, citing his respect for the singer and claiming he was unaware of the nickname’s origin.
