Singer Davido has revealed how his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, ended up going into politics after the death of his eldest uncle, Isiaka Adeleke.
Isiaka was expected to return as Osun State governor before his death. After he died, the family had to decide who would step in.
Davido said his name came up, but his father felt he was too young at the time. Ademola Adeleke was then chosen to take on the role.
During a conversation, he said:
“My eldest uncle, Isiaka Adeleke, was meant to become Osun State governor again, but he passed away. We had to choose someone from the family, and my dad said I was too young. Then my uncle Ademola stepped in.”
Ademola Adeleke recently secured a second term as Osun State governor, winning the 2026 election and extending his time in office.
