As the race for the Osun State governorship election gathers momentum, Afrobeats star Davido gave supporters something to smile about after joining his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, at a campaign rally
Davido was captured arriving at the crowded venue with the governor’s son, Sina “Shina Rambo” Adeleke. But getting to the stage wasn’t easy.
With thousands of supporters packed into the venue, the two had to climb over security barricades to reach Governor Adeleke.
Dressed in a traditional jalabiya, Davido struggled briefly before people already on the stage stretched out their hands to help him across. Shina Rambo was also assisted before they both finally made it onto the stage.
What happened next got the crowd even more excited.
Governor Adeleke, known for his love of dancing, was already moving to Davido’s hit song “Feel,” from the singer’s Grammy-nominated album Timeless. As soon as Davido reached him, the two shared a warm embrace before dancing together
The rally comes just days before the August 15, 2026, Osun governorship election, where Governor Adeleke, contesting on the Accord Party platform, is seeking another term in office against the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO.
