Davido set the stage alight by thrilling fans on Saturday night at the official kick-off concert for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco
The pre-tournament celebration took place at the Olm Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, just hours before the tournament’s opening match. Introduced by his hypeman Special Spesh, the ‘Timeless’ star stormed onto the stage to roaring applause from a crowd buzzing with football excitement.
The 33-year-old singer, born David Adeleke, delivered a high-energy performance, seamlessly mixing his classic hits with his latest chart-toppers. From crowd favourites like ‘Aye’ and the global hit ‘Fall’ to romantic tracks such as ‘If’ and recent anthems ‘Unavailable’ and ‘With You’, Davido had fans dancing non-stop throughout the night.
The concert also highlighted Africa’s diverse musical talent, featuring performances alongside international stars including Moroccan-American rapper French Montana, Comorian singer Says’Z, and Moroccan artists Douaa Lahyaoui and Lartiste.
