Afrobeats superstar Davido has been selected as one of the artists featured on King Charles III’s Commonwealth Music Playlist, a special collaboration with Apple Music
The playlist, curated by the British monarch, will be aired on Apple Music 1 at 6 am on March 10, 2025, in celebration of Commonwealth Day.
King Charles’ playlist showcases a diverse selection of artists from across the Commonwealth, spanning multiple genres, including Afrobeats, reggae, and disco. Alongside Davido, the list features global stars like Kylie Minogue, Bob Marley, Grace Jones, and Raye.
During the broadcast, King Charles will share personal stories about some of the featured artists and discuss how music has influenced his life. The initiative aims to highlight the rich cultural contributions of Commonwealth musicians while offering fans insight into the King’s musical tastes.
Davido’s inclusion on the playlist marks another milestone in his global recognition, solidifying his influence on the international music scene.
