Davido believes his path has never been the same as everyone else’s, and he says that’s why he doesn’t feel the need to approach fame the way other artists do
For him, his confidence comes from a mix of faith, the way he was raised and the belief that what is meant for him will always find its way.
Speaking during a livestream, OBO said:
“I’m a different kind of person. Normally, artists are meant to package and form, but God has blessed me. What works for me might not work for others. Nigerians call it see finish, but my star will always shine. I grew up in a family with a lot of people. I’m the youngest of 5 kids. I grew up with my cousins in the house, so I’ve always had people around me.”
He explained that growing up in a large household played a big role in shaping his personality. Being surrounded by siblings and cousins from an early age made him comfortable around people, and he feels those experiences have stayed with him throughout his career.
