Anu Adeleke, who has publicly claimed to be the daughter of Afrobeats star Davido, has formally requested a DNA test to establish her identity
She made the request on Instagram on Thursday, sharing a personal message alongside a photo of herself.
In the post, Anu reflected on her childhood and the challenges she faced growing up, including being bullied at school for claiming Davido as her father.
She described years of emotional distress and the steps she took to protect her mental health. Despite these hardships, she said she excelled academically, becoming class prefect and performing well in her studies.
Addressing Davido directly, Anu made her request clear:
“However on that note as I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking Mr David Adeleke Singer @davido for a DNA test to establish my identity. This test is between my dad and I. It is something I want. It is something that’s the right thing to do. Please sir, consider my request once you read this post. I also sent it to your DM.”
She also thanked Nigerians who have supported her over the years:
“Thank you to all Nigerians who have given me emotional support for the last 7 years. This DNA test is the right thing to do for me.”
