The actions of Lami, who is both a dancer and Davido’s cousin, towards the singer in the trending clip became the central focus of the video.
In the viral clip, during the dance, the manner in which Lami grabbed his cousin’s neck while attempting to break away from their dance routine has triggered the anger of Davido’s fans, with many asking WHY.

In a post shared on his social media page, Lami issued an apology to Davido’s fans, clarifying that he did not intend to harm Davido with his actions.
Lami wrote;
“Eyin Omo Egbe , no vex say I hold OBO like that ooo, na joy ooo, una don dey enter me too much abeg ooo lol”
Davido also responded to Lami’s apology, noting to his cousin that his fans deeply care about him.
The singer responded;
