Lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has knocked an X user who claimed that selling akara is more profitable than working in a bank
The user wrote:
“If you fry akara in a good location, after all cost, you make N20/akara and you sell 500 pieces per day. That is N10k/day, N60k/6 day week and N240k/month. Better than bank job.”
Reacting to the post, Adeyanju replied:
“POVERTY AMBASSADOR.”
The exchange comes days after First Lady Oluremi Tinubu encouraged young Nigerians to consider businesses such as selling akara, kuli-kuli and roasted corn as a way to earn a living.
