Delta Governorship Tribunal Throws Out LP’s Petition, Commence Delivery On That Of APC

We earlier reported this morning that, the Delta State
governorship election tribunal sitting in Asaba was going to determine the fate
of Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa today, stating if he will remain the Governor of the
state or not after LP and APC candidates in the last Governorship election
filed petitions against him. The tribunal today however threw out the petition
by the Labour Party candidate and asked him to pay the sum of 50,000 naira each
to the respondents in the case.
The first respondent in the case is the Governor, Ifeanyi
Okowa while the second and third respondents are the PDP and the electoral
    commission, INEC.

The lead judge has commenced delivering judgment in the case
brought by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the PDP’s candidate
    Ifeanyi Okowa.
