Mr. Sunday Kotor, who served as Senior Special Assistant on Protocol to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has d!ed after collapsing at a private event in the state
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday evening when Kotor slumped during the ceremony and was quickly taken to a nearby medical facility. Despite efforts by doctors to revive him, he was later pronounced dead.
Reacting to the tragic development, Governor Oborevwori expressed deep grief, describing the loss as devastating to both the state government and the people of Delta.
In a statement released through his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the governor praised Kotor’s dedication and unwavering commitment to his responsibilities.
“The late Sunday Kotor was wholly dedicated to his job. His passing is a huge loss, not only to his family but to the government and people of Delta State.”
The governor also extended his condolences to the Kotor family, especially his younger brother, Mr. Conference Kotor, who serves as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on media.
Kotor, widely respected for his professionalism, was a familiar figure at the Government House in Asaba, where he played a key role in coordinating official functions and anchoring state events for over two decades.
