Protesters, including civil society groups and pro-democracy activists, assembled early Thursday morning at the Ikeja Underbridge in Lagos to mark Democracy Day
The peaceful demonstration is against worsening economic hardship and rising insecurity under President Bola Tinubu’s administration

The protest, organized by a coalition of civil society organizations, saw demonstrators calling for good governance, accountability, and an end to hardship across the country.

Security was tight at the protest site, with a heavy presence of police officers from the Lagos State Command, including operatives from Area F Division, deployed to monitor and secure the area. Despite the tension, the atmosphere remained largely calm.
Organizers had earlier reached an understanding with the police to ensure a peaceful demonstration. All protesters agreed to converge at the Ikeja Underbridge before marching to the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota.

I don’t even care who is in government, neither do I care about political party: I just want good governance for Nigerians. Is that too much to ask? But Tinubu’s crumbs eaters will continue to defend and praise him because they are sharing the loot together. Believe it or not, posterity is taking records already… I am not even a supporter of any political party; my views are people oriented… Truth be told; Nigerians are left worse of than this present government met them!
