Nollywood actress and filmmaker Destiny Etiko has expressed her concerns about the recent spike in fuel prices in Nigeria.
Previously, actress Kate Henshaw also voiced her frustration on Twitter about the rapid rise in fuel prices by NNPC. Destiny highlighted the struggles many Nigerians are facing, saying that people are finding it difficult to afford food.
She pointed out that fuel prices in her area have reached N1200. Despite this, she remains hopeful that the recent End Bad Governance protest will improve the tough economic conditions.
She wrote:
“Fuel is now N1200 what is going on bikonu I honestly thought the protest was going to help salvage this economic hardship in this country. It’s becoming too hard for a normal layman to eat three square meal, Niger which way.”
