Former Kogi West senator Dino Melaye made his first courtroom appearance as a lawyer on Friday, showing up in full legal attire—robe and wig—before Justice Emeka Nwite at the Federal High Court, Abuja
This marks a new phase in Melaye’s career after he was officially called to the Nigerian Bar last Thursday. He celebrated the milestone on social media, sharing photos from the ceremony, including one with fellow lawyer Deji Adeyanju. One of the posts was captioned, “Done and dusted.”
Melaye had earlier announced his success in the Bar final examinations in April, writing, “Law school results are out. I made it to the largest bar in Africa. Who did it? God did it.”
Before pursuing law at Baze University in Abuja, Melaye earned a degree in geography from Ahmadu Bello University.
