Captain William Troost-Ekong has shared shocking photos of Super Eagles players stranded at Al Abaq Airport in Libya
The team was held hostage by the Libyan Federation, sparking widespread concern.

These images paint a dire picture of the team’s ordeal, highlighting the unacceptable treatment by Libyan authorities.
The Super Eagles were diverted to Al Abaq Airport instead of Benghazi, their intended destination, and have been without basic necessities like food, water, and communication.
Troost-Ekong condemned the “disgraceful” treatment, accusing Libyan authorities of “mind games.” The team has since said they won’t be playing their scheduled match, citing safety concerns.
The Confederation of African Football is yet to respond to this alarming situation.
