Do Not Panic, Suspected Ebola Victims Isolated, Ogun State Commissioner Tell Citizens

The commissioner for health, Ogun State, Olaokun Soyinka
while speaking with journalists today in Abeokuta asked residents to ignore the
media reports that there’s an Ebola outbreak in the State. Mr Yinka says it is
true that two Ogun State residents who work in Lagos had a close contact with
Late Liberian man, Patrick Sawyer, but they have been isolated and are
currently been monitored to know if they carry the virus or not.
He says there’s no reason to panic and all health workers in
the local government and state levels have undergone training on how to handle
    Ebola cases.
He pleaded with the citizens to be careful and always wash
their hands after the day’s activities and warned them against eating bats, antelopes
and monkeys that are veritable carriers of the Ebola virus.
