Don’t Loan Wike Money, APC Rivers Tells Banks

After Prof. Ajayi Boroffice, a senator representing
Ondo-North warned Zenith Bank not to grant Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko
loan yesterday, the Chairman, All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Chief
Davies Ikanya has also warned banks in the State not to grant any loan to Governor
Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.

The chairman in a press statement said, any bank that grants
loan to the governor will only be working with him to take the money belonging
to Rivers people.

“Let me warn all the banks not to give Nyesom Wike loans.
But if they give him loans, that means that they are collaborating with the
governor to take money belonging to Rivers people,” he said.

The chairman also debunked the news that the State Governor provided
62 security vehicles for security agencies in the state, saying the rate of
crime in Rivers is now very high.

“For more than five months since Wike took over the
governorship position, he has not assisted the police, the navy and other
security agencies. Wike is not doing anything on security. We don’t believe
that Wike actually gave 62 vehicles to the police and other security agencies
in the state,” Ikanya said.
