Canadian rapper Drake reportedly placed a $300,000 bet on Canada to win against Argentina in the Copa America semifinal
However, Argentina won the match 2-0 on Tuesday night at MetLife Stadium in New York, with goals from Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez.
As a result, Drake lost his bet, which would have paid out approximately $2,880,000 if Canada had won.
Before the match, Drake shared his bet slip on Instagram, saying “This could get Messi @stake.”
Argentina will now face the winner of the Uruguay vs. Colombia match in the championship game on July 14 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
