Drake has filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing the company of spreading false and malicious allegations through Kendrick Lamar’s diss track Not Like Us, which labels him a pedophile, according to a report by TMZ

The lawsuit alleges that UMG knowingly allowed the release and promotion of the song, which Drake claims was intended to defame his character. It also accuses the company of using bots to inflate the track’s streams by at least 30 million and engaging in a “pay-for-play” scheme with a radio promoter to falsely elevate the song’s chart performance.

“This lawsuit is not about the artist who created Not Like Us,” the suit states. “It is entirely about UMG, the music company that decided to publish, promote, exploit, and monetize a song containing false claims.”

Drake’s legal team argues that UMG’s actions caused significant harm to his reputation and seeks accountability for the alleged misconduct.
