Omoyele Sowore has alleged that the Department of State Services (DSS) was tracking his movements during his recent stay in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he attended the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference
According to Sowore, the incident came to light after he delivered a speech at the Kay Hikers gathering. He said he and his team noticed unusual movements around them and decided to change vehicles as a precaution.
It was during the vehicle change, he said, that they found an electronic tracking device fixed underneath the security vehicle they had been using.
Sowore described the discovery as evidence that his movements had been monitored since his arrival in the state.
In a post he shared, he said:
“DSS has apparently been tracking my movements since I arrived in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference.
”After my speech at the Kay Hikers gathering, we noticed some strange movements and decided to switch vehicles.
”That was when we discovered an electronic tracking device attached underneath the security vehicle we had used that night.”
