The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a
former Special Adviser to Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, Muktar Umar Yerima.

Premium Times gathered that Mr. Yerima, who is currently the
chairman of Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State, was arrested early
Saturday over alleged corruption.

He is accused of embezzling over N65m approved for
participants in the Millennium Development Goals empowerment scheme in the
