In a press statement, the EFCC clarified that no such list has been issued, and no discussions have taken place with media outlets regarding investigations into ex-governors.

The report, titled “EFCC Releases Full List of 58 Ex-Governors that Embezzled N2.187 Trillion,” is false and mischievous. The EFCC considers it a fabrication serving unknown motives.

The public is urged to disregard the report, as it is both false and misleading.

The media is advised to verify information related to ongoing investigations with the EFCC to prevent inaccurate reports and maintain the integrity of the Commission’s investigations
