The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays in observance of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebrations

The announcement was made on Monday by Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.
Tunji-Ojo congratulated the Muslim faithful across the country and in the Diaspora, urging them to reflect on the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon him).
He encouraged Muslims to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria.
The minister further noted that the current administration, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, remains committed to implementing reforms that align with the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at repositioning the country for sustainable growth.
Wishing Nigerians a joyful Eid celebration, Tunji-Ojo called for collective support from citizens in building a stronger, more unified nation.
